2018 Alfa Romeo 4C

The Alfa Romeo 4C is a mid-engine sports car, produced by Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo. The production car was unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, originally only available as a Coupe, with the Spider announced in 2015.

4C refers to the straight-four engine, a 1742 cc and turbo charged unit, producing 177kW at 6500 rpm, with 350 Nm of torque from as low as 2100 rpm. The car has a carbon fibre monocoque chassis(tub) that weights only 65 kg. Front and rear aluminium subframes combine with the tub, roof reinforcements and engine mounting, to comprise the 4C chassis, weighing only 107 kg and contributing to the low curb weight of only 940 kg. No wonder zero to 100 km/h takes only 4,5 seconds and the car achieves a top speed of 260km/h! This pocket rocket provides sharp handling, gut-punch acceleration and a sassy exhaust note.
