2017 Porsche 911 Targa 4S (991.2)

The Porsche 991 is the seventh generation of the Porsche 911 sports car and was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. It was an entirely new platform, only the third new platform since the 911 was launched in 1963.

The 991 Targa was introduced at the Detroit Motor Show in 2014 and it was equipped with all-new roof technology. Porsche reintroduced the original “Targa” design, now with an electronically operated soft top along with the original B-pillar and the glass dome at the rear. The original cars had the normal aspirated 3,8L flat-6 engines. The second-generation cars had the 3,0L twin-turbo, flat-6 engines producing 309kW, good enough for over 300km/h top speed and cars equipped with Sports Chrono can do zero to 100km/h in a blistering 4.0 seconds!
