2009 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S (997)

The Porsche 911 type 997 received a mid-cycle refresh in 2008 for the 2009 model year. The facelifted 997 featured many mechanical and cosmetic changes and improvements. The most notable being the engine and gearbox. The 911 featured direct fuel injection for the first time in the history of the 911 and was offered with an all-new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission which replaced the old Tiptronic S gearbox. The engine was mounted lower down, the suspension revised, and the infotainment system was heavily revised and updated.

The Carrera 4S Cabriolet has a 3.8L, flat six-cylinder engine developing 283kW. The PDK accelerates from zero to 100km/h in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 298 km/h! The “4” denotes all-wheel drive and means that this Carrera features a body that is 44mm wider at the rear than its rear-wheel drive counterpart.
