2006 Porsche 911 Turbo (997)
The Porsche 997 Turbo made its debut in February 2006 at the Geneva Motor Show. The car had a few distinguishable features including LED turn signal strips in the air intakes, fog lamps on the corners of the bumpers and large air vents before and behind the rear wheels. There was also a retractable rear wing like on the 996 Turbo.
The engine is the trusted Mezger engine, now delivering 353kW or 473hp with 620Nm of torque. The Turbos on the car are fitted with a two-stage resonance system. VTG turbos are used, a first for Porsche. VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry) incorporates guide vanes on the turbine wheel that changes their angle with exhaust speed, reducing lag at low speeds while opening to prevent excessive back pressure at high speed.
The performance figures are impressive. Zero to 100 km/h takes 3.9 seconds, and zero to 200 km/h comes up in only 12.2 seconds. Top speed is 310km/h.
This specific car has done 49 000 kms from new and has a full-service history. Finished in Arctic Silver metallic with black all leather interior the car has the following factory standard and optional extra features:
