2006 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 (997)

The first Porsche 911 type 997 cars were delivered in November 2005. The 997 replaced the 996 and was basically an evolution of the 996 with mechanical and cosmetic changes and improvements. The most notable exterior change was the replacement of the so called ”fried egg” headlamps to the new, more appealing round or “bug-eye” lights. The Carrera 4 has a 3.6L flat six engine developing 242 kW. It accelerates from zero to 100km/h in 5.1 seconds and has a top speed of 280 km/h! The 4 in Carrera 4 denotes all-wheel drive with 40 percent of the traction being sent to the front wheels. The Carrera 4 is also built on the very desirable, wider, 911 platform that is 44mm wider at the rear than its two- wheel drive counterparts.

This specific car is a 2006 Carrera 4 Coupe with a six-speed manual gearbox. A rare specimen not only in South Africa but worldwide with only 8 533 examples being built between left and right-hand drive versions. It has done only 64 100 km from new and has a full service history with Porsche SA. Finished in Seal Grey metallic with black interior, the car also features the following optional extras:
