2004 Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG
The first editions of the R230 generation of the Mercedes Benz SL-Class were introduced at the 2001 Frankfurt Motor Show. Production started at the Bremen plant and sales in Europe commenced that November. There were several updates and revisions, and the car was superseded by the R231 in 2011.
The SL55 AMG version was released in 2002. This car was powered by a mighty 5,4 L, V8 Supercharged engine, producing 368kW with 700Nm of torque available from 2 650rpm-4 500 rpm. Top speed was electronically limited to 250km/h but could be extended to 300km/h at an additional cost. At the time of its release, it was claimed the SL55 AMG was the fastest automatic car in the world. Famously, Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear fame owned one of the first cars on sale.
This specific car is a 2004 model with only 75 800kms on from new, with a full-service history at the Agents. The car is in pristine condition. A major service and suspension maintenance work was done 2 000kms ago. At the same time, the tyres were replaced, so nothing to spend on this car. This is definitely one of the best examples available!
Please take note that all cars can be viewed at showroom by appointment only.
