1992 Bentley Eight
The Bentley Eight was what Bentley called an “entry-level offering” from 1984 to 1992. It was offered at a slightly lower asking price than the more luxurious Bentley Mulsanne.
The Bentley Eight was mainly distinguished by a wire-mesh grill. The first cars were introduced with cloth upholstery and steel wheels. The car and had somewhat less equipment than the similar Mulsanne, on which it was based. Fuel injection and anti-lock brakes were added in 1986, leather upholstery and power memory seats in 1987 and automatic ride-height adjustment in 1990. The three-speed automatic was replaced with a four-speed automatic in 1992. It was still powered by the trusted 6,7L V-8 engine, delivering 153kW at 4200 rpm, with 460Nm of torque available.
The Bentley Eight was priced just under the psychological important 50 000-pound mark and it was a great value proposition. The car was so popular that sales expanded from the original UK markets to the rest of Europe and the United States.
This specific Bentley eight is a 1992 model, first registered in 1994. The car has done only 76000kms and is a beautiful condition, finished in Beluga Black with cream interior. The car has been very well maintained with a partial service history available. Comes complete with books and spare keys.
