1988 Volkswagen Jetta CLX

The Volkswagen Jetta is a compact family sedan, manufactured and marketed by Volkswagen since 1979 over seven generations. It was based on the firm’s very popular Golf hatchback. The Jetta was offered in a two-and four-door saloon and as a five-door estate. Since the first generation in 1980 the car has grown in size and engine power with every generation.

The second-generation Jetta was the longest running of all the generations, from 1984 to 1991. It was based on the all-new second generation Golf. It was larger and heavier and could now accommodate five people instead of four.
