1970 Mercedes Benz 280 S W108
The Mercedes-Benz W108 was produced between 1965 and 1972. The W108 and W109 line replaced the W111 and W112 line of cars. During the seven-year production run in West Germany, 383 361 cars were manufactured in total across all variants. The W108 designated the “normal’ wheel base and the W109 designated the long wheel base until it was replaced by the 280 SEL which retained W108 designation.
The W108 280S like the car pictured above features a 2.8L inline six-cylinder engine that produces 103Kw and 220Nm of torque. It features the optional and desirable 4 speed automatic gearbox.
This specific car has done 177 000 km from new and is completely original. It has recently had an engine refresh and runs like a dream.
