The original Minis were manufactured by the British Motor Corporation, the BMC and by the company’s successors later from 1959 to 2000. It was a small economy car and is considered an icon of its era. Its revolutionary design featured a transvers front mounted engine with cv joints, driving the front wheels. This layout allowed more than 80 percent of the car’s floor plan to be used for passengers and luggage. The production version of the Mini was demonstrated to the press in April 1959 and announced to the public on 26 August 1959.

This specific car is a 1962 Austin Mini 850, also know as the MK1 Mini. The car is as close to original as you can get a car. At some point in its history the single carburetor was replace with twin SU carburetors and the matching manifold. The original carburetor and manifold are available in a box in the boot of the car. As for the rest, the car is untouched.  It has never been refurbished or restored, completely unmolested, numbers match car! It is running and fully licensed.
