1999 BMW M-Coupe
The BMW M-Coupe was first introduced in 1998 and was produced until 2002. The car was originally developed to address the lack of torsional and structural rigidity in the Z3 and the engineers were only given the green light once they proved that the production of the car would be cost effective. They achieved this because many of the parts were interchangeable with that of the Z3. The M-Coupe is relatively rare as only 2,999 models were produced with initial sales very slow.
The S50 engine used was the same as that on the E-36 M3, developing 236kW and 350Nm of torque. Zero to 100 km/h took 5,3 seconds and top speed was over 240km/h.
This specific car is a 1999 model with 162,000kms on from new. It has a good service history and is finished in classic silver with black leather interior. It is a beautiful example of a car that has a serious cult following and has become and a real modern-day classic!
