1990 Mercedes Benz SL500 R129

The R107 Mercedes cars were replaced by the R129 SL, a Roadster produced between 1980 and 2001. It was a two-door, two-seater car with an electric textile roof. All R129 cars also came with an aluminium removable hardtop.

The car was based on the floor plan of the W124 sedan and featured some innovative details like electronically controlled dampening as well as an automatically extending roll-over bar. The windows, mirrors and seats were all electric, not very common in a 1990 car!  It was also the first car where the seatbelts were attached to the seat instead of the floorboard or B-pillar.  The engine in this car is the mighty 5.0L 24-valve V8, producing 225kW or 302Hp.

This specific car is a 1990 model and has done only 103,000 km from new. It has been well maintained by the Agents and Mercedes Benz Specialists. The immaculate white paintwork is complemented by the beautiful grey interior. The car is a one family-owned car and is in a very good original condition.
