2004 Alfa Romeo 3.0L GTV

The type 916 Alfa Romeo GTV is a sports car produced by Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo, from 1993 to 2004. The GTV was a 2+2 coupe and the name GTV, Grand Turismo Veloce when translated means fast grand touring. The GTV was designed by Enrico Fumia at Pininfarina.

The 916 GTV was a successor to the long-discontinued Alfetta GTV, also know as the type 116. Just under 43000 type 916 GTV’s were produced, and the car was replaced by a Brera-based successor in 2006. In 1998 Jeremy Clarkson described the GTV as “one of the best sport cars of its time”, and the car was listed a number 29 in Top 100 Cars in 2001.

This specific car is a 2004 GTV with only 124 000kms on from new. The car is very original and has been beautifully maintained. The car is fitted with the acclaimed 3.0L, 24-valve engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox. The powerful 3.0L V6 engine was fitted transversely and drove the front wheels. It produced 162 kW and had a top speed of 240 km/h!
