The Porsche 996 was the first 911 with a water-cooled engine and was produced from 1997 to 2006. It was the first all-new 911 since the original car with an all new chassis platform and a water-cooled engine. It had nothing in common with its predecessor and was a complete breakthrough from the original car other than the overall layout.

The second generation 996 car was introduced in 2002 and besides some very nice cosmetic enhancements from the first model, the engine capacity and power were increase to a 3,6L with 235kW on offer.

This specific car is a 2003 Carrera Targa and has done 110 800 kms from new. It is finished in beautiful Carrara White with a black interior. The car has been very well maintained and has a full-service history. The 996 Targa was one of three Porsche 911 Targa models that had a glass roof, the others being the 993 and the 997-model range. Not many of these were made and only a handful were imported to SA.
