1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa 3.2
In 1984 Porsche replaced the 3.0L 911SC with the 3.2L Carrera, using the Carrera name for the first time since 1977.
A higher displacement motor was used in the new car. The volume was achieved with the same bore size as in the 3.0L engine, namely 95 mm but with 74.4 mm stroke and combined with the camshafts from the 1978 3.3L Turbo. Higher domed pistons increased the compression ratio and a new inlet manifold and exhaust system were fitted. The 915 gearboxes from the 911 SC was retained for the first models and changed to G50 gearbox in 1987. Engine power was now up to 172kW or 231Hp. Zero to 100km/h takes 5.4 seconds and the top speed was over 240km/h!
This specific car is a 1985 Carrera Targa with 274 000 kms on from new and a full-service history with the Agents and Porsche Specialists. The car has never been restored. It’s had some cosmetic work here and there over the years but absolutely stunning! It is finished in clean white with classic Burgundy (Wienrot) interior. All books, spare keys, tools, spare wheel and compressor available.
This must be one of the best examples of the 3.2 Porsche 911’s from the eighties. This is a rare opportunity to own a magnificent classic Porsche 911.
