1960 Porsche 356 B Coupe

The 356 was the first production car for Porsche. It was a rear-engine, rear wheel drive sports car that was very light and had unmatched handling characteristics. The car was available as a two door coupe and also as an open top. Porsche engineers continued to improve the car in the years of production. This increased the cars popularity and also contributed to its success on the racetrack. Production started in 1948 and the first 50 cars were produced in Gmund, Austria. The factory relocated to Zuffenhausen in 1950 and production of the 356 continued until April 1965. 76 000 cars were produced of which approximately half have survived.

This specific car is a 1960 B Coupe with 83 000 miles from new. The car is finished in silver with black interior. This car has never been restored but has had some cosmetic work done on the bodywork. The interior is original and in surprisingly good condition. The car runs very well, is licensed and in daily use. A very nice example of this iconic German sports car.
