2000 Porsche Boxster S (986)
The Porsche Boxster was introduced in late 1996 as a 1997 model. It was the first Porsche to be designed as a roadster since the Porsche 550 Spyder which was introduced in 1953. The name “Boxster” was derived from the words: boxer (referring to the engine layout) and roadster (referring to the body style). The early Boxster came with a 2.5L flat six and the Boxster S with a 3.2L flat six.
This specific car is a 2000 Boxster S with 87,800 km on from new and a comprehensive service history. It is finished in beautiful white with black interior and sports the very desirable manual gearbox. The Boxster S’ 3.2L engine produces 184kW which is good for a 0-100 sprint time of 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 260 km/h. Thanks to the Boxster’s mid-mounted engine, the car is incredibly well balanced with a near perfect weight distribution. The engine in the middle also means that there is space for two storage compartments making this a fun yet practical sports car.
This Boxster S is in an excellent condition for a 21 year old car and is a lot of car at a very reasonable asking price.
